I'm currently waiting on delivery of a MiniDVI > VGA adapter for my little MacBook.

I've done some looking around and can't find an answer for certain - will I be able to display on my external monitor at a resolution of 1920x1080?

I picked up this MacBook at a low cost and it's ideal - but for long periods of use I'd like to use it with my monitor.

Thanks, Chris.

I'm going to guess no since VGA isn't natively capable of HD.

The best place to start is by opening the owner's manual for your TV and checking to see what resolutions it will accept via it's vga port.

Amazingly, Apple have a tech specs page for every model they sell, and here's what it says about this for the MacBook:

"Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors"

The things you can find by looking in the obvious place sometimes, eh?
