Hidden layers showing up in a PDF when converted from Illustrator.

When I convert an Illustrator file to a PDF the hidden layers show up on my mac and iphone but not anybody else. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Delete the hidden layers before you save your pdf. Then cmd+Z to go back to the original.
