I recently bought an Alienware M17X for PC gaming and I still have an iMac 24" and a Macbook Pro 15". My plan is to have my friends play games with me but have them use either the laptop or desktop using Boot Camp Windows 7. Which would run games like Crysis, Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare 2, etc. better, the iMac or MBP?

iMac specs:
4gb ram
1tb hdd
Geforce 8800 gs 512mb vram
core 2 duo 3.06ghz

MBP specs:
4gb ram
500gb HDD 7200rpm
geforce 9600m gt 512mb vram
core 2 duo 2.66ghz

I'm going to be running Windows 7 home premium and wish to play these games at native resolution with Low-Mid settings and a frame rate of over 30 fps most of the time.

The iMac will be better as it will have the faster Geforce 8800 graphics card.

Mobile or Intergrated graphics will give slow and jerky responce for games.

I agree, it's always the case with laptops, because they are integrated they never give the better performance, also the 8800gs like pjhutch says is the better of the two
