Hello there
I've recently just bought a new mac book pro and i'm trying to patch up my macbook to give to my girlfriend.
It's currently running 10.5.8 and it being very slow (particularly opening and closing apps) plus i want to reformat it so she has her own admin account and everything. I've already moved all my files off onto an external drive so the system is essentially, empty.
I was thinking of formatting macintosh HD on it and starting fresh, but when i try to boot from my snow leopard disc it says "snow leopard cannot be installed on this computer" and then quits the installer and restarts. It doesn't even let me get to the utilities/erase section.
Does anyone know why this is? I was trying to avoid buying a 2nd snow leopard disc.
Thanks
