Problems with Java

Yesterday I ran software update and did various installations (I am running snow leopard). Since then using open office has caused problems with java, in particular I keep getting the following error message:

"open office.org requires a JRE to perform this task"

However I have java installed and it is able to do the task without any problems. Is there any way of disabling the error message? Is anyone else having this problem?

Open Office will have to be updated in order to recognize the Java update that Apple issued yesterday. You can always go to the Open Office site and download their JRE again but I don't recommend it as the version Apple issued may be a later one.
