I have a 2 year old Macbook Pro and i have been experiencing some problems after 20mins of running the book. The left side of the Mac heats up very fast to an extent that it becomes extremly difficult to keep it on the lap. Is anyone also experiencing the same??? :'(

That's why it's called a notebook and not a laptop.

If you want to use it on your lap, you need to get yourself a laptop stand. I have the iLap and it is a comfortable design with a built-in padded wrist rest.

May I ask what model? either way try something called "SMC Fan control" it allows you to monitor temperatures AND control your fans.

Even with SMC fan control your machine is still going to run hot with the fan running full blast. Forcing your fans to run full time is going to hurt your machine in long run. I wouldn't do that and just let it do what it is suppose to.

Follow bobtomay's advice and get a laptop stand.
