The tale of the missing toolbar

Don't know how I did it, but I managed to banish my toolbars to the unknown! (By the way, it hasn't been hidden by the little jelly bean icon on the upper right corner.) Anyhow, I don't have a toolbar for any application, the only things visible are the volume, battery %, time, and spotlight icons at the upper right. To the left, where my toolbar used to be, is nothing. The only time I'm able to get a toolbar is when I click on the desktop and it gives me the toolbar for finder. Arghhh!! A little help please.

Huh?

You're using Windows lingo. Maybe a picture would be worth a thousand words.

Are you talking about the Menu Bar at the top of the screen?
