Hello, it's me again

My Wife, bless her, has been provided with a printer from her work which I have to hook up, preferably to my iMac.

The printer in question is a Canon Pixma MX330. (Groans, wails and gnashing of teeth offstage left)

The Mac discovers it OK, however further down the Printer Browser panel it asks me to fill in the 'Print Using' dialog. I enter 'Canon', and the drop down menu lists a range of Canon printers but not mine.

I promptly zoom to the Canon website and download the driver. Double-click to install and follow the prompts, and when I get to the same drop down menu there is no sign of my driver.

If I select 'Other' instead of 'Canon', I am taken to a finder window and once there I am at a loss as to how to proceed.

Can anyone tell me please, where is the file located?

Thanks in advance

Location
Amberley, Canterbury, New Zealand
Your Mac's Specs
MacMini 14.3, 8.1 & 4.1, OS 13.5, 10.14, & 10.11 & 10.6; Macbook Pro 8.2, OS 10.12.
Try Mac (not User) > Library > Printers, you should find the driver there.

Next, try User > Library > Printers to see if the MX330 is featured there.

Did you install the printer (Mac) software that came with the MX330?
