CD doesn't show up on desktop?

i'm sure this has been asked before but i can't seem to find where....ok...i insert a photo cd and it does not show up on the desktop...i go into disk utility and i see the cd but am not able to open it....it says the cd is locked...

You haven't deselected the 'show disks on desktop' option for the finder bychance?

Make sure finder is open, hit Command+, and see if the 'CD's DVD's & iPods' option is checked.

If you can see it in disk utility, what happens when you select 'Mount'? Is that when you get the 'locked' error?
