Urgent- I need something to block porn

Bare with me, I may be posting in the wrong place....I need to block porn websites on a Mac Power PC. Does anyone know of any software that will work on a power pc? I also have a few other specific websites I would like to block.

It's $39.99 for the new version of "Net Nanny" for the Mac. You can buy that or turn on "Parental Controls" from System Preferences. I'm not sure how effective Parental Controls would be in blocking certain web sites though. By the way, Net Nanny has a trial copy you can download before buying.

Firefox has good blocking mechanisms. Safari has PithHelmet. With both, you can set filters that will ban a porn site that is identifiable. And therein lies a problem. There is no absolutely secure method of blocking web sites. The answer lies in education, rules, and personal decision making - but you probably know that already.

Understand that porn sites will almost invariably set a cookie that allows them in. Set strict controls over cookies in whatever browser you use. That will not stop porn sites, but it will slow them down. Block popup (popunder) windows, porn sites use them repeatedly.

I cannot comment on Parental Control except that it cannot be turned on for an Admin user or network account (Tiger OS).

You can also do this through OpenDNS.

PeerGuardian might also be one to consider..

You need to clear all the cookies, history and the browser cache and start over.
