Jailbroken iPhone 3GS in 4.0, Can I upgrade?

Hi, like the title says, I have a jailbroken iPhone 3GS (4.0) version and I want to find out if it's possible to update it and still jailbreak it/make it work with another carrier. Also, I don't have the original AT&T sim-card, I know I had to have it for the first ever jailbreak I did with 3GS

Currently there is no unlock for iOS 4.1 For right now until an unlock is made available, Just stick with 4.0 Your not missing much it's basically the same.
