direct transfer from ipad to iphone or ipod

Can someone point me to the best software or way to directly transfer movies/vid/music from an ipad to iphone or ipod etc? i am leaving on a vacation and it would be awesome to fill my devices with movies and move files around as i finish watching on the ipad...
