Logic Pro 8 with Snow Leopard

I am currently running Logic Pro 8 on a MacBook,OS X 10.4.11. I am going to
buy a refurbished i mac from apple. Will Logic Pro 8 work on the new imac or
will I have to upgrade to Logic Pro 9?

2008 MB, 2.1GHz 4GB RAM, 10.5.8
I'm running Logic 8 on a 2 yr old Macbook on Snow Leopard (10.6.4) quite happily. Extremely stable. I see absolutely no reason to upgrade to Logic 9 unless you actually want to (and it takes about 3 hours longer than logic 8 to install if I remember rightly!)
