I am new to this forum, so I hope I'm in the right place.
My IMAC has a capacity of 297G and it's showing I only have 4.9G left -- there is no imaginable way I have intentionally used this much space. Using Finder I cannot seem to isolate what is taking up this much of my disk -- any ideas on how to find my "big" offender? Thanks.

Give Disk Inventory X a try. It will give you a graphical representation of your disk usage.

Thank you so much! It shows I have over 200G of .asl files! Photo shop stuff, I believe. Again, thanks!

.asl Photoshop files can take up an enormous amount of room, and your hard drive is pretty small by today's standards. Be aware you require some 15% free HDD space for a drive to work anywhere near its peak. Surprised you have not noticed a rapid drop-off in performance of your iMac.

Time perhaps for an external drive to store all those photos on?
