The one line in there sums up my feelings: "That's right -- a non-mobile product." Finally. I don't have anything against the mobile products (I think they're great) but it's nice to see the Mac side of the business get some attention.
The photo there says it all. Expect an announcement of Mac OS 10.7 Tiger.
Looks more like a lion to me. ;)

Apple reaches an all time high with stock and the iPad is riding high with laptop sales improving year over year and with each OS upgrade things get better and I can hardly
wait for whats next.

That is indeed a lion. Male to be exact. Has a mane.

I'm also glad that it's a non iPhone/iPad event. The title of the event "Back to the Mac" just says it all.

Yeah I think this will cap off one of Apple's best years on record. I can't wait :D

I hope it's lion, but I sure hate it's in the holiday season. I have too many xmas presents to buy! If 10.7 comes out before xmas, I'll have to wait until January to upgrade.

Just saw it. It certainly does look like a new big cat is being touted. But it's unusual to see Apple being that blatant with their invitations.

Thank goodness. I was wondering if they cared about non-iOS development anymore.

It was predictable, I thought it would either be Lion or Lynx or something.
Prehaps they should skip from 10.7 through to OS XI in a year or so :p

Well, they still have 3 more hundreths to go before XI. I have a feeling OS X will eventually be renamed as a variant of iOS (and since iOS is based on OS X, it will likely be more of a rebranding than anything else).

I don't think you have any worries there. Every OS X gestation period has been longer than 18 months in recent versions. You can bet that any release is easily a year off.
