hello

can anyone help me diagnose why safari occasionally hangs ?

causing everything to hang and toget the spinning beachball ..!
i can manage a force quit for safari eventually once the macbook catches up with my mouse

then rest of mac is ok
and restarting safari after force quit - safari works ok - till next time it hangs every few days or so

only other apps i use while this is on arefirefox and entourage

is it something to do with realplayer downloader which also runs when i use safari ?

This happens to me as well every now & then...but not real often. I don't really worry about it too much. I just force quit Safari...and reopen it. Sometimes I restart/reboot the computer if I haven't done that in a while...maybe that helps as well.

Did it help?

i first thought i would try installing Onyx (after reading the sticky on Basic OS X/Mac Troubleshooting !!
i run that , so i am waiting till/ or if the problem to reappears .

Then i will try reset as you suggested. it may be its been fixed by the onyx

will let you know if fault appears , then i will try the reset.

all the best

:)
