Desktop icon size adjustment?

I know how to make my dock, and the icons on it, appear smaller.

But, how would I do the same for the icons on my desktop?

I'd like them to be about half the default size that they are at the moment...

Right click on the desktop and choose 'Show View Options' from the menu. The first selection in the dialog box is for adjusting the icon size.

Or if you have the multi-touch trackpad, just pinch inwards and they shrink down in size

That works too...I just recently got the Magic Trackpad for my iMac, and am still learning all the gestures you can do with it.

If you get bored with the default gestures try Better Touch tool.

I used BTT with the magic mouse and now with the trackpad. It is a great program.
