Power Mac G5 Power Button

I was curious as how to replace the actual button on a power mac g5. i know how to remove the little board where the power button plugs into but how do you replace the button you push to power on the machine. my power mac g5 isn't powering on.

i have already watched that video. that removes the little logic board that the power button connects to.....unless im missing something

Before you go through all this trouble, are you sure it's the power button? Do you have a DVM, Voltmeter? If so put it on Resistance and check with the button pushed. Does it dead short when pressed?

If you do not own a meter, short the pins on the button really fast (Be careful you don't short something else!) and does the G5 then turn on?

There are a lot of other issues that can keep a G5 powermac from turning on.
