My Apple TV has a big problem connecting to my library.

Often times, I have to perform a power cycle for my library to be recognized.

Needless to say, it's a big hassle.

Has anyone run into the same problem? I don't imagine there is an easy solution.

I have already called Apple, and they suggested I call back if the problem persists. They'll be hearing from me soon.

Thank you in advance for all replies.

Peace.

Maybe try found a hard reset and then via Airport Utility setting it up again. I had problems with my AE and this was the only way that I could get it to recognize the AE Network !!!
Just a suggestion but it worked wonders for me :)

Cheers

Too many...
I have that problem, its happens when Itunes sits idling too long with it connected to the appletv. I just quit itunes and restart it. Unless there is another problem.

Do you have a good connection wherever you have the appletv(assuming you are using wifi) placed?

Isn't there a checkbox in Energy Saver on all Mac that allows network activity to wake the Mac?

Yes. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for appleTV network activity. Mine is checked but I still have the issue if I don't wake the drive.
