I am thinking of buying a iBook G4 12" ComboDrive. :yinyang: with:
DVD/CD-RW 065-5243
Bluetooth Module 065-5011
80GB Ultra ATA drive 065-5241
Keyboard & Mac OS 065-5249
512MB DDR266 SDRAM 065-5236
AirPort Extreme Card 065-5246
WIth all the accesories and stuff it adds up to £1100. Is it worth it???
I really want a laptop that just works and has Mac. OS X!
I think it is a good choice.
Is It?

In my opinion, yes worth every penny.
Although it really depends on what you'd like to use it for?
There are some good threads around in this forum for the ibook, so you might like to check some of them out.
I use mine for general day to day use, i.e. email, chat, surfing, some light photo editing, watching movies, you name it, in fact.. the ibook is a great choice when you consider it's features over some of its competitors.
Some of the ibooks great features:
1.Battery life is excellent (i normally get around 5 hours)
2.Screen size is just right for 12" model (this is obviously a matter of preference)
3.Extremely stable OS
4.I've never had a virus
5.Lightweight & portable
6.Decent quality of screen resolution (good enough for me anyway)
7.Airport extreme is brilliant
8.Sleep mode rocks!
9.Keyboard is fine (but might take "some getting used too")
10. I Just Love it! The ibook is my travelling companion & has never once let me down since i bought it, no crashes, bugs, spyware, malware, or whatever ware.
11. Once the RAM is upgraded it runs like a champion. I suggest buying RAM from
http://www.crucial.com/uk/ (a lot cheaper than apples prices) If you can afford to buy from apple & don't wish to mess around installing it yourself, then buy it on purchase of your ibook.
I could rave on and on about my feelings for the ibook, but i'll give someone else a chance too
Feel free to ask anymore questions if you need to, your in the right place.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.. :yinyang:
