how do I remove the stand on an imac G5?

Hey, I'm new here, just got myself a 17" superdrive imac G5 and im lovin it. I have a question though. Im going to need to transport the imac on an airplane, and it would be very helpful to, if possible, remove the stand, and so if anybody can help me out twould be very much appreciated. Thanks.

The iMac G5 is capable of a VESA mount, si I know the stand can be removed. Look in your manual that came with it, and it may tell you. At least you can find out how to open the iMac, and work your way from there. It shouldn't be too hard. Don't give it to the baggage handlers, whatever you do.
