Having trouble using a 60 gb disk in my g4

I have installed a Excelstor 60 gb in my g4 sawtooth, but it won't erase it.
it (DiskUtility) say

"Disk Erase failed with the error:

Unknown error: -9692 "




Whats wrong??

The first thing that comes to mind, is the hard disk write protected?

ohhh...nevermind....it was the jumpersettings that were jazzed up :-/ it's working now

The jumper setting, could write protect the disk also. Glad you were able to resolve the problem.
