What the heck are you talking about??? There's definitely some info missing here!

- What keeps popping out?
- What do you mean..."where is this start up disc?"
- "I need to put some files in the trash..."...not sure what you're referring to here either!

Maybe just missing/improper punctuation? See if this helps...

When I'm trying to burn something, this keeps popping out: "Where is the Start-up disc?"

???

It means that your HD is getting full. If you open up Finder and look at the bottom of the window, how much free space does it say you have? How big is your HD?

If this is the message you're getting...isn't it self explanatory?

I'm really confused!

If you're referring to hidden files, they are hidden for a reason. A good rule is to only delete content that you created and/or consciously put on your Mac. In other words, you really shouldn't be deleting files outside of your home directory.

Best cure MacForever, is install a larger hard drive and use the current drive in an external case and use as a backup.

WOW, I got a pretty good kick out of this thread (OP). LOL

I use GrandPerspective to give me an idea of all of the files on my computer that are taking up a lot of space.
