Hi

Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place, I am new to the forum and new to my macbook pro.

I have downloaded Open Office and it is in my downloads folder. What do I need to do now to run it? How do I put it into my applications folder?

Cheers guys.

The easiest way is to open 2 Finder windows. One with your downloads folder contents showing and the other with your Applications folder selected and open.
Open the OpenOffice folder and locate the Application's icon. Drag that icon to your other Finder window that has the Applications folder open.
That's it. You can delete the contents of the downloads folder once you've completed the steps above. Also the disk image on your desktop. Don't need any of that stuff now.
