Why Wont My MacBook Pro Turn On??

i have a macbook pro and when i press the power button the light on the front comes on as normal the fan kicks in and the hard drive starts spinning but then all of a sudden it clicks and turns off. if i hold the power button wen i turn it on the light comes on again but stays on for a couple of seconds longer but then flashes rapidly a few times and then turns off. PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!

Is your MBP still under warranty, Apple care? If it is, take it on in to your local Apple store and have them look at it. The symptoms you describe indicate a hardware problem. If the machine won't stay on long enough to do any testing, there's not much you can do.
