System Preferences Accounts not opening

Your Mac's Specs
13" MBP, 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB DDR3, 500GB Seagate.
I've been trying to access the Account settings for about an hour. And each time I click on it it says, "Loading Accounts..." then the application crashes!

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Sounds like you may have a corrupt account. But before anyone can really provide help we need your Mac specs (model, year) and which version of OS X you're running. Also, how many accounts do you have on the machine?

Systems prefs account crashes

I'm having the same problem, Macbook mid 2010 OSX 10.6.5, multiple user accounts.

The problem occurred a few weeks after upgrading to 10.6.5.
