Word 2008 Save As .pdf Multiple corrupted copies

Receiving a Word 30-page document that was pre-produced by a novice, I am cleaning it up. Tabs, columns, fonts, margins, etc. I got down to about page 6 and chose to test what it was going to be looking like as .pdf. The result was three .pdfs were generated...one with page 1-3, one with page 4 only, and one with page 5-30. I have tried various things messing with tabs, margins, etc...and always get the same result. Went to Print as .pdf, was able to select only Pages 1-6, but exactly same thing resulted...useless partial .pdfs. Please help. Thanks.
