Broken iPod Touch Screen

So, today, I fell over, had my iPod Touch (32 GB, 3rd Gen) in my hand, and now have what looks to be a bullet hole through the screen on my device.

You can still use the screen, but now there is this massive crack. I still have Limited Warranty with it, and bought AppleCare for my macBook, (if that means anything)

Will they be able to fix it, will they charge me, etc at Genius Bar?

Let's see... you were holding it in your hand and fell and cracked the screen and now you want to know if Apple will charge you???



Why should they fix it for free? The warranty covers defects in workmanship, not damage due to abuse, misuse, neglect or acts of nature.

With all due respect, consider this a very expensive lesson!

With all due respect, what is the lesson to this?

The lesson is that your best option will probably be to replace your iPod since you will have to pay for the parts and labor to get yours repaired.
