Saving as Word Doc

I am seeing some loss of fidelity when saving a document as a word file, specifically with borders and shading. Is there anyway to get these features to act the same on a .doc file, or do I just have to live with the differences.

What is it you're trying to save and which program are you using? No one is going to be able to answer your question with the info (lack of) that you provided.
