g5 sleep issues

I just recently bought a dual 2ghz g5. Am I the only one having sleep issues with this Mac? The computer seems temporarily frozen after just leaving it untouched for no more than a minute or two. I don't even think it is officially in "sleep" mode yet.

Any suggestions? Thanks

I'm running 10.4.2

Your Mac's Specs
rMBP (Mid-2015), 2.8 Ghz i7, 16GB DDR3, AMD M370X Gfx, 1 TB SSD
System Preferences --> "Sleep" tab under "Power Adapter" and uncheck the check box near the bottom of the window that says: "Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible."

If you leave the computer alone long enough for the hard drive to spin down then you have to wait for it to spin back up before you can do anything. This lag time can vary with your system specs. What system are you running?

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks. Everything is stock at the moment. I do plan on upgrading ram.
