iWork

Just wondering if I should buy iWork now, because I heard that Apple is updating it soon (or is that iLife?) Can anyone help?

No one knows. At least no one that is talking. However, a lot of us suspect there should be a new version of both suites on the way. Think if I was to buy a new Mac right now, I'd do with Open Office until the new version hits the street. Could be a month, could be a year???

Maybe you mix something up with the new Office for Mac which is in stock soon or the new iWork iPad Apps, which were updated just some days ago?

If you need to work with iWork, then buy it. Otherwise do what bobtomay said and use Open Office until the new version is available.

depending on where you work, check if you get a discount on Office 2008. I got mine through work for $10 and you will get a free update to 2011 if you buy it from now up until november 1.
