Hi,

Wondering if anyone could help, I want to get an external display for my 13" MacBook Pro but have a few questions:

What is the maximum resolution my MBP can output?

How should I connect it, HDMI, VGA etc?

Would you recommend any particular monitors?

Would the MBP suffer from always outputting to an external monitor?

I can't afford a apple display so any recommendations would be great.

I have mine hooked up with a VGA connector.

Monitors... I have a good Samsung monitor but I'm not too sure about modern monitors - Mine is pretty old.

I don't believe your computer will suffer from being hooked up to a monitor.

A cool tip is to hook up a mouse and keyboard to your MBP then close the lid. You can wake up the computer by pressing the keys or clicking the mouse. This will allow you to use just the computer monitor - I find it annoying to have both on.
