Hi there. I'm not sure what I did but every time i delete a file (keyboard or drag to trash), it asks me to permanently delete it without even going thru the trash. Nothing in the keyboard is stuck and I've rebooted. Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks! :p

Haven't had this problem, so can't remember the solution. But, it's been discussed here many times. Did you try searching?

Check Finder preferences under the Advanced Tab. There are two boxes that can be checked for the Trash. One is so that you're notified before the Trash is emptied, the other is for emptying the Trash securely.
