Censorship starts with the "Fart Apps"...where will it go next? Pretty soon there won't be anything "Politically Incorrect" to purchase...just spreadsheets & word processing Apps!!!:(

And if some "Fart Apps" are ok...what's the difference between a "good" fart app...and a "bad" fart app???;)

Like any store, they have to make decisions on what products to sell. Having a plethora of fart apps that do nothing to differentiate one from the other just clutters up the marketplace and makes it harder to manage. Target doesn't put everything on their shelves that everyone wants them to sell for them. Why should Apple?

I think that this may be one of the first times Apple has "moderated" the store inventory. I think that's where the controversy is. Unlike "brick & mortar" stores...where square footage can be a big determining factor of what makes it on the shelves & what doesn't...this is not really the issue with Apple. Sure...hard drives & servers do take up actual floor space...but I don't think Apple is saying "no" to fart apps because of a lack of hard drive space.

I think Apple should manage the inventory like any good store. What sells stays on the shelves...and what doesn't...gets kicked off the "shelves". If fart apps aren't selling...sure get rid of them!;) If they're selling like crazy...let them remain.

Let's let the consumers decide with their wallets!:)

If it's bad I give them 5% of the bill

See IMO if the service is bad, then they dont get a dime... Punishment for bad service so next time they will think, hmmmm that prick didnt tip me ... Why ?? Ahhh my service was bad if i want those tips i must pick it up next time .... How do they learn if you pay them to be bad at what they do.
Doesnt make any sense to me !!!

That is why I am glad Australia does not have a tipping system like the US does.

Im with you all the way there mate. I hardly carry cash on me these days, maybe a few bucks in the Ashtray to pay for parking, so they would be getting nothing from me in the 1st instant..

I 100% concur with that, and most likely that will be the next step Apple is taking. They are probably starting with "fart" apps because they aren't selling (or not enough to justify taking in more), continue to get more in from developers, and it does cost Apple time and money to vet each one. But yah, I think at some point Apple should and will have to say "Look…. such and such app has only sold 5 copies in 3 years and hasn't seen an update since day 1. Outta here!"

More likely, they'll just think you are a cheap ******* and will be cussing you out for the next week. If someone is giving lousy service, they likely have their heads stuck up their buttocks and will make excuses for it all.

Another thing Apple banned from the App store :)

That's when I take a photo of the food and not eat it, tell the manager and report the incident with photo evidence to the health board. And yes once I did this when I felt something I ordered was not up to standard.

And someone did this in Australia. Got fed up with a customer. But they did not spit in the food. They left one of their own logs in the food and it was served that way. I saw it on the news they took the establishment to court about it. I'm not sure if they won though.

I agree 100%. The App. Store has got to be full of "crap" by now (no pun intended)...with so many apps quickly created by lots & lots of folks looking to make a quick buck....and quality suffering in the process. The App. Store is a success...and now it's probably time to "pull the weeds out of the garden"!;)

It's a very very similar situation to the early to mid 1980's when video games (at video arcades) were brand new...and it seemed like everyone was making their own version of Pac-Mac, Defender, Asteroids, Missile Command, Galaxian, etc. The originals were good...and most of the "knock-offs" stank!;)

well, if they only kept what was selling, we'd have 90% of the app store filled with porn, and that WOULD drive people away, though I do agree that banning new fart apps is a little silly. It's apple's app store, and they have rights too. If they don't want to sell something, they can say no.

Porn isn't sold at the app. store. If it's not sold there...then it can't be selling.
