Hello Everyone

When I bought my iMac, I also bought Apple Care with it.

I have added my iMac to the Apple Care Plan and Have Activated it.

However since then I have got an iPhone 4 and an iPad. Can I add those to the Apple Care ?

Or is there a time limit to when they can be added ?

I'd greatly appreciate some help & advice on this.

Thank You.

In short NO

Every device that  has manufactured has its own Care Plan. And own price.

Would put my next paycheck on it....

How would  make any money then. As with the image ^^^^ there all individual plans for specific products.... And considering your other 2 devices aren't even PC's i really cant see you putting a iPhone/iPad on a iMac care :( Sorry to be barer of bad news.....

Cheers

I agree. In the UK at any rate, each and every Apple product has its own AppleCare premium. Indeed here, we even have separate telephone numbers (via a central number) for each product.

Absolutely positively 100%. Only one Apple product/Applecare plan.

Apple care costs A$579.00 for a MacBook Pro? You fellows in Australia are either getting ripped off or Apple Australia is giving you door to door service and in home repairs. ??

Ripped off yes mate, door to door service and home repair ??? Hmmm no idea as from the prices you see, I dont have care for my MBP... There amazing prices arent they !!!!!!
For me paying only $1410 for my 13" MBP the  care iss over 34% or the purchase price.
I will see what happens over the next 10months and IF i seem to have any problems then i MIGHT fork out all the money **head drops with the sad face** for it. Mind you i could pick up iPad for a extra $50 .....

Dont quote me on this, but i have heard from MacWorld Australia forum that someone did get a in home service .... So maybe, just maybe it happens.

If any of my fellow countryman do have care and can either confirm or deny this, would be appreciated... If thats the case depending on where you live it might just be worth it ....

Doubt it though ;P

Cheers

EDIT : and Apple US have it selling for under 31% of the price of a MBP .. Go figure

I did some internet searching trying to find an answer to why Applecare in Australia is so expensive. But couldn't find an answer.

Anybody know...or able to make an educated guess?

Oh, as to why AppleCare is so mindbogglingly expensive here: it's the ONLY Apple product that a reseller can make a decent profit on -- thy might make a puny five points on, say, a MacBook, but will make thirty on an AppleCare plan, more if it's bundled at initial purchase.

Your Apple laptop is covered by the manufacturer's warranty for one year. You can purchase AppleCare any time during that period.

um..well let's see.. I recently bought mac pro with led 24 inches cinema screen and bought apple care. When I got the apple care, the apple site said I can have cinema and mac pro registered under one apple care plan because I bought it both. Not sure...maybe it's different with other items.
