Hi guys,
I know this question comes up all the time. I just returned my $3k HP Envy. The Envy was nice because it had the i7 processor, dual 160gb SSDs, 8gb DDR3, USB 3.0, and a 1920x1080 resolution screen. The machine was initially purchased as a work computer to give me more ease in accessing my company files/server remotely. My problem with the machine was the lack of reliability.
When it comes to my personal computer setups, I've always relied on Apple. I'm set on picking up a MacBook Pro, but I'm kinda disappointed with the current configurations available to the 15" and I'd like to see some beefier options. I suspect that we won't see a major overhaul on the MBP until Q1/Q2 of 2011, but do you guys think we'll at least see a minor update before then? I'd like to have more options on the processor and SSD.
I can live without a laptop for a little while, although my computing needs from home are limited to a iPad...so, I just don't know how long I can hold out.
Thoughts?
Ryan
