I'm another persons who's macbook pro shuts down randomly.
Generally...It makes no difference if the battery is fully charged or low or if it is plugged into power. Some days it works fine, other days it will shut down after it has been on for a while, or even during start up.
I took it in to see a mac 'genius' but he couldn't find any problem with it and wanted to book it in for level 1 diagnostics for some $$.
:Blushing: *today however it was shutting down over and over again each time i tried to start it so i took the battery out completely and plugged it in to power and it is working, no shut down! ....so is it the battery? even tho the mac guy says the battery is fine?? or???
any ideas?
