Apple Care & MBP Battery?

iMac 21 Inch - 3.1 GHz I7 Quad Core - 16 GB RAM - 512 GB SSD, iPod Nano, iPad Air - 16GB Wifi Only
I am guessing that Apple Care does not cover a two year and four month old battery for a 15 inch MBP? Right?

Apple defines batteries as a "consumable" item...and a replacement battery is not supposed to be covered under Applecare...unless the original battery is found to be defective. Since your battery appears to have worked fine for 2 years & 4 months...Apple may not replace it.

But that being said...you never know. We hear of folks going to their local Apple Store and getting their battery replaced...so it may be a judgement call by the individual you meet with at the Apple Store.

If you decide to speak with Apple about the battery...please let is know how it turns out.
