Hello there.

Every usb stick I've used on my mac I have the same problem.

When I delete something from the memory of the usb stick. For example: If I have 3gb of memory remaining on the stick and I delete a file that is 1gb in size, then I should go back up to 4gb of memory remaining on the stick. Instead the memory that I delete never gets restored? So in this case it would have remained at 3gb.

Any help please? I'm using an Imac OSX. The USB drive I use is a SanDisk Cruzer but this may not matter because whatever brand of usb stick I have used, I have the same problem.

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Same with PC's, when you trash something from the memory stick you have to physically empty the trash whilst the memory stick is still attached to the computer before the item/s are removed from the stick and the capacity restored.
