This is a ticklish question, but is there any way to open an application and close it, open it. so on, many times. So the application gets started like 100 times in a minute. Is that possible or am I nuts to think there's a way to do that?

With Automator maybe? I don't really use it myself but maybe there's a way to do it.
And just wondering, why would you need to do so? :)

Depending on the size/complexity of the application...with a traditional hard drive it's always going to take some time to load the app. due to hard drive speeds. If you were to get an SSD drive...this would probably speed things up.

I'm not sure why you would want to do this...but I guess you have your reasons.;)

Yeah, just click the little red circle in the top left corner of the window. It'll open right back up when you run the app again.

The attached script will open and quit the set application 100 times. It will open in Automator and then you can change the application and click the run button.
Use the delay to slow down the script of you computer can't handle it.
