iMac 27" Core i7 Mid-2010 Models

Hi,

I've installed Windows 7 via Boot Camp and despite downloading and installing ATI Driver 10.9. The DirectX Diagonostics (dxdiag) is showing driver version 8. I have tried searching yet not a lot of useful information out there... And this comparison to ATI Mobility crap is really confusing as well; Hence my own thread.

Did anyone manage to install the latest 10.9 ATI driver successfully? If yes, how so?

I have clarified the question in the original post.

The question was regarding the version of ATI Drivers not DX. Thanks.

The driver version shown there is irrelevant. ATI does not show the driver version on it's download page, only the version of the Catalyst software. According to your attachment, you have version 10.4.

I haven't dealt with the ATI drivers for awhile, but I'd guess it's still the same - find and download the ATI uninstaller, then install the 10.9 Catalyst software.

Appears to be a little easier than it use to be, as it's now done in Add/Remove programs.

The 5750 in the iMac is a mobility 5850. ATI has released up to 10.8 for mobility cards, and 10.9 for desktop cards. It's as simple as that.
