Hi all,

I have a small home network. Lately a lot of my download quota has been getting used and I'm not exactly sure by whom, on which web sites, and by which apps (assuming there is a decent amount of non web traffic). Is it at all (and preferably reasonably easily) possible to keep some sort of a network log? Internal traffic is not a concern, just external traffic. If I have explained this poorly please ask me to explain further and I will attempt to.

Cheers, Rob

What are you using as a router? A lot of SOHO routers have logging features and depending on your device - you may be able to get reports and email alerts.

There is also etherape and ethereal/wireshark to monitor network traffic. Macports have those available.
