where to save photos

wheres the best place to save your pictures so they are easy to export like to a forum or facebook or something? iphoto a folder in documents other places? sorry new to macs i used to just save them in my pictures on my pc

Do it how you like it best, I personally do it like this.
~/Pictures/Photo Archive/Year/Month/images.jpg

I seldom go into those folders though, I have all my pictures referenced in Adobe Lightroom from which I can manage the images and export web friendly versions.
