ipod touch sync

sorry guys another newbie question - when i plug my ipod touch in to the imac it automatically opens up iphoto - why would it do this? I want it to open up itunes! Can I stop iphoto booting up when the Touch is plugged in?

ah, i think i found it - iphoto was set to open when it thought a camera was being connected to it. It thought the ipod was a camera. I've told it off.

If it is the newer Touch, it IS a camera. And a camcorder. I was not thinking this way either and was surprised the first couple times I plugged in my Touch.

If you haven't tried the camera yet, do give it a shot. I'm a bit of a camera snob myself, but it is amazingly good for its specs. Good contrast, good sharpness, and of course good software.
