Long time reader and never needed to join until this problem come up that I cant solve.

I have just got a 24" monitor to use instead of my laptop small screen.

Now I want to use this monitor so I can close my power book and and view my desktop on the large monitor, I have been using is in a way where I use both screens because I could not work it out....and today for some reason the main monitor was exactly how I wanted it, and I don't know why haha. But when I shut down and restarted I was back to the split screen way.. Kinda annoying..

I hope you all get what I mean.. And wait for any help..

Cheers..

Oh and my system is a 1.5Ghz Powerbook G4 with 10.4.11

That's ok. Have never actually used mine in clamshell mode. That's why I post the link instead of actually just stating how. ;)
