Hi,

I'm looking for an application I can use to set a timer to commence a download. The problem is that I have 40GB of unused data at the end of the month because I'm not prepared to get up during the off-peak times (2am - 8am) to download stuff. If I was able to set a time for a download to commence, it would solve my problems!

If anyone knows a good application, please let me know.

Cheers,
Scacey

An alarm clock may well be the cheapest and best option. As a general rule avoid third party downloaders.

You could:
Find the direct download link and drag it to the Desktop as a book mark file.
Then use an iCal alarm to open the file at a certain time, if it is the direct link to the .dmg/.zip it will immediately start downloading.
