Mirror image of text

How can I print a mirror image of text on my Macbook pro? Is it a printer issue or computer issue? I have an hp photosmart printer
I have searched the forum and was unable to find the help that I need. Thanks in advance.

The quick and dirty way? (I'm not sure about your desired quality or use)

Open Textedit.app

Type what ever you'd like.

SHIFT+CMD+4 Take a screenshot of the text.

Open the Screenshot in Preview.app

Click "Tools"… then select "Flip Horizontal"

Then print. (as attached)


For QUALITY… use Photoshop.

I also just discovered that I can do it with Inkscapes as well, DAHHH......I should have thought of that.

No need for Photoshop. Save your text however you'd like it, color, size and all, in a text app like Word or Power Point. Copy to Clipboard. Open Preview app. Choose "Open New from Clipboard" and the text will appear in good quality. "Save As" a TIFF format (not the default PDF) in order to enable the "Flip Horizontal" tool. Flip, then Print.

Preview may make your text huge, as if it is one big photo. If that's a problem, my workaround was to create duplicate text boxes in my original document, then copy them all to clipboard, forcing Preview to maintain my desired text size. It might also work to Re-save in a document format before printing (if possible). Cheers!
