Hi,

so what's the verdict: MBP late 2008 (or other models) + express card / esata adapter - are they generally working correctly or not?

I was going to get a external eSata 2Tb hard drive and this kind of adapter, but after googling for "macbook pro express card esata problems", I found out that there are multiple sources telling about errors and malfunctions.

The problem is that mostly the material on internet on this subject was from 2009 or older... And of course no one goes to internet to start a new thread and just telling that "everything is OK".

Any new info or experiences?

Ocw

I'm running A hot swap Sata base via and OWC slim card adapter and it runs great.

I have an SSD and by the time I looked to the screen after popping it in to the slot it is already mounted. Blisteringly fast.

Not sure if that helps ;0
