wireless keyboard not pairing with mac!!!

Hi, I've been spending all day trying to figure out why my macbook pro will not pair with my apple keyboard. I have the current version with the thin profile. When I go to set up a new device the passcode comes up but when I put in the code it does not accept it.

What's wrong with my comp or keyboard?

It still has trouble pairing. I'm going to try to see if it will pair with another mac. i have this keyboard for under a year. i didn't use it all summer and the batteries i put in were fresh. what's annoying is that both my wireless mouse and keyboard aren't connecting.

I think i've figured out the problem. I loaded up my superduper backup and bluetooth works fine. I'm going to clone over my backup over my main drive and hopefully that will solve the problem!
