Pioneer DVD 109 does not fit in G4 quicksilver

Hi guys

Dont know if this is the right forum to post this in but I have just bought a Pioneer DVD 109 duallayer writer and for some reason the **** thing wont fit. The tray door just keeps on getting stuck either on the metal caing indside or the edges of the plastic trap door. HHas anyone else had this experience and can you help me please

I think you need to remove the front panel of the tray. I had to do that to fit an aftermarket Pioneer DVR-106 into my G4 MDD.
That front panel is simply clipsed to the tray, and is easily to remove.

Hmmm my Pioneer drive has had no problems.(I didn't install it myself)
